In 2002, Vern Darley purchased a hangar at Peachtree City's Falcon Field which would become the home to the Falcon RV Squadron. The squadron had grown from six aircraft in 2005 to more than a dozen in 2009. By 2020, the number of flying RVs based at Falcon Field has grown to over fifty, with roughly a dozen other RVs based in the central Georgia area.
Following the effects of the pandemic in 2020, airshows around the country were cancelled. Athough much of America's workforce was required to remain home, the country's medical and rescue workers were operating around the clock to help protect from the outbreak. In April 2020, members of the Falcon RV Squadron flew a mission "Hearts Over Atlanta," leaving hearts on the sky's canvas above hospitals in the metro Atlanta area. The goal was to bring more awareness to the heart of our nation: medical workers and first responders.
In January 2021, with airshow operations reopening, eighteen members of the Falcon RV Squadron formed the Full Throttle Formation Team. Performing in 9 events over the course of the year, the team is flying 'full throttle' into 2022.
